My SUPERPOWER!

I excel at onboarding, facilitating training courses and maximizing materials, employee development initiatives, executive coaching, knowledge management, and succession planning. I have the skill set needed to supervise the selection and implementation of learning technology, such as learning management systems (LMS). My superpower is my ability to help, support, and bring other people together. I understand the connections and dependencies across all dimensions: technology, demographics, the contingent workforce, increasing impact, and the implications to the business successfully achieving its mission. I am able to use my skills in learning agility, emotional intelligence, and cultural dexterity to ensure success. Everyone turns to me for advice and I’m happy to give it. I can get along with virtually anyone, and have a gift for bringing people together using learning agility, emotional intelligence, and cultural dexterity. I truly believe in the old kindergarten adage, “sharing is caring.”

My WORK

I am a senior-level executive who ensures that our company’s corporate learning program and strategy supports our overall business goals. People tend to gravitate towards me, and I believe it is for one reason: I put others first. Whether it be my family, clients, friends, coworkers, or community leaders, people easily confide in me and rely on my empathetic ear and sound advice. Consequently, I have a lot of responsibility for, and influence over, those who work with and for me. This is not something I take for granted.

My STRENGTHS

As we enter the 21st century the need for a Chief Learning Officer has increased. The role has evolved from traditionally focusing on corporate training programs to become more of a strategic business partner to deliver measurable learning solutions that align to business goals. I am self-aware, authentic, loyal, reliable, hardworking, and non-judgmental. I promote and model self-care via my S.E.L.F. (Sexual Health, Education, Lifestyles, and Finance) Framework, providing constant reminders to myself and others that there is always someone to provide nurturing when building and running a thriving lifestyle, brand, or business. The key is to make sure to take the time out for oneself.

My WEAKNESSES

I know a strong learning culture can provide a huge competitive advantage. I am strongly drawn to organizations that ensure mission alignment is woven into the fabric of all organizational decisions. I can be self-sacrificing and have a tendency to overextend myself. As a result, I am prone to disappointment when others don’t meet my high standards of loyalty or match my work ethic.
